SELECTION & ORDERING GUIDE

Choose the right configuration

Use the model drawing and your project requirements together.

01

Describe the service conditions

Identify the component's function, working fluid, temperature and relevant pressure requirements. State the required alloy and material specification. A catalogue image does not establish a pressure rating or approve a material for a particular service.

02

Highlight the functional surfaces

Mark sealing faces, bores, threads and mating dimensions on the drawing. Define surface finish and alignment requirements where they affect the assembly. Review the cast shape and subsequent machining as a single finished-component requirement.

03

Define what will be accepted

Include sample quantities, production demand, required records and any specified testing. Agree test methods and acceptance criteria for the actual part. These reference entries need your drawing to establish dimensions, configuration and the full quotation scope.

Before you enquire

Do the reference images define a pressure rating?

No. The image is a component reference. The approved drawing, material, design requirements and agreed testing must define suitability for the intended application.

Can machining requirements be included in the casting enquiry?

Yes. Identify machined faces, bores, threads, dimensions and surface requirements on the drawing so the finished component can be reviewed as one quotation scope.
