Capabilities are confirmed per component. Proposed topics are not verified service claims.

Requirements for valve components & interfaces

Review area What to define in the enquiry
Operating requirements Medium, temperature and pressure-related component responsibilities.
Sealing & assembly Machined sealing faces, bores, threads and assembly datums.
Inspection scope Required tests, acceptance criteria and documentation responsibilities agreed in the RFQ.

Review the requirements that matter

Valve sourcing should start with the operating medium, temperature, pressure-related requirements and assembly drawing. Casting, machining and inspection responsibilities need to be clear before comparing quotations.

Pressure-related requirements

Identify pressure-retaining components and the applicable customer specification. Agree testing responsibilities, methods and acceptance criteria.

Machined interfaces

Mark sealing surfaces, threads, bores and assembly datums separately from as-cast geometry. Include surface-finish requirements where function depends on them.

Material and documentation

Specify the exact cast alloy grade, delivery condition and required material records. Confirm suitability against the operating environment.

From quotation to repeat orders

  1. Define the enquiry. Provide the current drawing revision, specified material, quantities and target delivery. Highlight features that determine assembly fit or function.
  2. Agree the manufacturing route. Review tooling, casting, machining and any treatment or finishing together. Confirm which requirements are included in the quotation.
  3. Agree acceptance before production. Define the sample approval, inspection records and documentation required for the particular order.
  4. Control repeat production. Keep drawing revisions, material requirements and agreed changes traceable between orders.

Available grades, dimensional limits, tolerances, testing and delivery dates are confirmed for the specific component. Sector experience does not replace project-specific qualification or approval.

Application question

Are pressure tests included automatically?

Test requirements and responsibility must be specified and confirmed in the quotation. Casting supply alone does not imply a particular pressure-test scope.
